HammerFall - Threshold (2006)

I have given each of HammerFall's first five albums three and a half stars, and this one is going to get the same.  It's not that all their releases have been identical, but they've managed to be consistent enough in quality, without reaching any breathtaking heights.
Threshold has a bit more of the choral/chanted choruses than usual, something that always appeals to me, and such songs as "Rebel Inside" "Howlin' With The 'Pac" and "Carved In Stone" are good, powerful heavy metal for those who aren't too demanding.
There's not much more to say, really. Another HammerFall album which offers no real surprises, but does the job.
